Lead Unlocking and Premium Leads (Basic Membership)
Each day you can unlock a limited amount of leads. If you have used the daily limit or the lead you try to unlock is a new premium lead, there will be a padlock icon next to that lead’s photo, indicating it’s locked status. For new premium leads there is a 36-hour cooldown before these leads can be unlocked that you will see as a countdown timer when you open a locked premium lead. You can instantly unlock any lead by Upgrading to a PRO Membership.
Can I create multiple profiles at one time?
Yes, Basic and PRO Memberships allow you to create multiple profiles that can be used for different reasons (Sales, Jobs-Employment, Networking, Hiring-Recruiting for Jobs, Dating etc.). Click on the Account text or your Name/Photo on the top right corner of your dashboard, from the drop-down menu click on the new Profile type you want to add this will open a menu for creating the new profile.
Why should I invite my LinkedIn contacts to join Opportunity?
Opportunity has the ability to notify you (and your LinkedIn contacts) each time there is an opportunity to do business. This can be in the form of employment, sales and networking opportunities. LinkedIn currently does not provide you with a window into which of your LinkedIn contacts is in need of your product, service, skills or who people who have similar interests as you and more. My Industry or Skills are not listed. How can I add them?
Email our support team at [email protected] and request to have your industry or skill added. If your request is in high demand, we will quickly add it to our list of options. Note: You may not receive leads for a few weeks or longer until other members begin adding the new industry or skills to their profile.
How Can I Add More Locations/Regions?
To add more regions, you’ll need to edit your profile, this applies to Sales Lead, Networking, JobSeeker, Relationship profiles and excludes our Hiring Manager Profile which only uses one location but can Post Jobs in any region-location needed around the world. To edit your profile(s), click the arrow next to your name in the far right corner of your user dashboard. Then, select the profile you would like to add more regions to, EX: (Sales Lead, Networker, Job Seeker, Relationships). You will see a Regions box. Click on Add another region. You will now be able to ‘Add an additional region or regions’. Basic Members can add 5 regions, Pro Members can add 20. Make sure you hit the save button at the bottom of the page to update your changes.
How Do I Change My Profile Picture?
To upload/update your profile picture, click your name\avatar in the far right corner of your dashboard header. Then, select ‘View\Edit’ ‘Profile’, next select the profile you wish to update. The profile menu should open and already be in edit mode, if it is not, then select Edit at the top right of the menu. Next select ‘Upload’ to change your image. If the image needs cropping the select the ‘Crop Image’ tool to the right of your image. Make sure you hit the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page, or your new profile picture will not be updated.
How Do I Manage My Email Preferences?
To choose your email preferences, Click on your name/photo on the top right corner of your dashboard and select ‘Account’ from the drop-down menu. Then, scroll down the page and look for ‘Email Preferences’. Here you can select which emails you wish to receive from Opportunity including daily lead alerts, weekly statistics, updates, promotions and more. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the menu and click the green “SAVE”” button after any changes are made.
What Is The Purpose of Labeling Leads?
The purpose of labeling leads as ‘Hot’, ‘Warm’, ‘Cold’ or ‘Success’ is to allow you to organize and manage your leads more effectively. Leads you’ve determined to be of high value should be labeled as ‘Hot’ whereas leads of low value should be labeled as ‘Cold’ or ‘Deleted’. Once you have had success with a lead (i.e. closed business, landed a job, etc), we encourage you to label the lead as ‘Success’. How Do I Report Inappropriate Member Behavior?
Next to each person’s data profile in the far right corner of your dashboard is a drop-down menu ‘Label’ with an option to “Report User”. Select this option and explain why you are reporting the person. We will look into the person’s activities and make a decision whether to ban them from the MyOpportunity platform.
How to Cancel a Membership on Mobile?
If you upgraded on your mobile device through an app, you will have to handle that subscription via your mobile phone in your app store. This is a regulation through the app stores with any paid subscription purchased through them. Please see below on how to do this on both an iPhone and an Android phone. Deleting the app does not prevent charges through the app store. To manage subscriptions on each device visit:

How Do I Become a 'Verified' Member?
Verified Members are members who have been manually reviewed by our team in order to confirm their identity. Becoming a verified member is a great way to instill confidence in other users to want to communicate and ultimately do business with you. Once verified, a special badge is placed on your profile letting everyone know you have been approved. The process for becoming a verified member includes:
- Becoming a PRO member
- Uploading/Syncing your LinkedIn network
- Uploading a Photo
- Adding a LinkedIn Profile URL
- Manual Review by our team.
How Do I Cancel a Paid Membership?
- Go to your Account page inside Opportunity
- Locate the blue “Downgrade” button at the top of the screen and click it. If you do not see a downgrade button, you are not currently paying for a membership.
- Confirm that you would like to cancel your paid membership
Access after you cancel: When you cancel a subscription, you will still have access to your subscription for the remainder of time you have already paid for. For example, if you purchased a one-year subscription on January 01 and decide to cancel your subscription on July 01, you will have access to the subscription until Dec. 31. But you will not be charged another yearly subscription the following January 01.

What Is The Mass Messaging Feature?
The mass messaging feature is a lightweight email marketing tool that allows our PRO members to send a bulk message to all of their leads (or a subset of leads) at one time. Additionally, our mass message feature also provides you with a convenient way to send an email blast to all of your LinkedIn contacts Note: You can do this 1 time for Free! Lastly, our mass message feature can now provide you with a list of Opportunity users (and LinkedIn contacts) who have viewed your message.
Pro Membership Required: There are two sending options. 1. The ability to send up to 2,000 messages to MyOpportunity leads per month 2. The ability to send up to 10,000 Uploaded new or existing Linkedin contacts per month. If you exceed these numbers you will receive a popup notice in your mass messaging menu indicating you have to wait until the next 30 day period starts again. Please Note! Messages can take up to 12 hours to be delivered.
JOB SEEKER PROFILE

When your finished editing a profile page, make sure you scroll to the bottom of the menu and click the green “SAVE”” button after any changes are made.

What is the purpose of adding a ‘Pitch’ to my profile?
- Go to the profile you would like to disable. This can be done by clicking on your name/photo on the top right corner, and selecting the profile(s) you wish to disable.
- Once you’re at the edit profile view, scroll to the bottom and click “Disable profile”
- To re-enable, repeat step 1 and scroll to the bottom of the profile and click “SAVE”
Important Note: Disabling your profile will hide it from other users and also pause your lead generation. You can re-enable at anytime.

How to Change your E-Mail Preferences
Click your Account Settings \ Name-Photo on the top right corner of your dashboard. From the drop down list select E-Mail Preferences. Make any necessary changes to all the individual settings, make sure you select the Save button at the bottom of the page or your changes will not be updated.

Exporting Contacts from Email Accounts and Import them to Opportunity
Opportunity now lets you import contacts from your various locations, such as Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook!

FYI, Clicking on a Members Profile Image
By clicking on a members profile image from their profile details will usually open up a larger image for viewing. The increased viewing size will depend on the image size the user uploaded for their account.
Virtual Tour Dashboard Icon (What is this?)
Virtual Tour user Dashboard Icon: Provides a automated Virtual Tour of the MyOpportunity user Dashboard tools and Basic features, the screen will be grayed our and a Red Virtual Tour in Progress Icon will be displayed at the bottom indicating you are viewing the Virtual Tour, to exit the tour click on the End Tour button from any slide in the tour. The tour can be manually advanced or ended at anytime by the user.
(Relationship Profile), What is the Meet Now Feature
Similar to our One Click Intro/Apply feature, we have crafted a message for you to send when you’re ready to meet up with your match! This takes the anxiety out of how to phrase the question, and gives you the power to ask with one click! The Meet Now feature is only available on MyOpportunity Relationship\Dating profile.
Icon (Interacted with this lead)
The envelope icon in the top right corner of a lead indicates that you have engauged with this lead by sending messages between each other. All leads under messages will show this icon. If you are in any of your profiles andsee this Icon, it means you have sent a message to them or they have sent a message to you. The Envelope is White when the lead has not been selected and Yellow when a specific lead has been selected. Click on the message tab to see the conversation. You can filter out leads that you messaged by seleting from the Advanced Search tools, the (Message Sent) slider. Pro user only, using the (Global Search Tool), you can also filter out leads that you messaged by seleting the (Message Sent) slider from the Global Search list of tools.
Warning! Profiles with Inaccurate Information can be Banned
You must create an Accurate Membership Profile or Profiles. Examples 1. You can create any profile but if you create a Sales Lead Profile for a business then create a Dating Profile to advertise your business this violates our Terms of Service, the Dating profile is for Dating only! not selling your business products or services. 2. If you create a Sales Lead Profile then Create a Hiring Manager profile and Post a Job to advertise your Business Website, or something else as a Job Posting this violates our Terms of Service. A Hiring Manager Profile is for Posting jobs only. Also all profiles that are setup must have accurate information. If the information is incorrect our AI system will not provide you with correct matches and also you will be matched with other members that provides misleading information that ultimately provides a connection to your profile that is not a good match, creating frustration to other users if they reach out to you for connecting related to your inaccurate profile. It is a waste to you and other members’ time. Even your physical location in your Profile must be accurate in order to generate matches that are relevant and useful. Make sure you correct, update your profile(s) for accurate information otherwise our platform will produce inaccurate and poor results resulting in an unsatisfactory experience. A members account can be banned for violations of our Terms of Service.
What is a Shared Connection?
Shared Connections are contacts that you have in common with the selected lead. You can confirm credibility of a lead by contacting your shared connection below, with the Ask about button and send a message.
One Click Quick Intro (About)
The One Click Intro / Apply feature offers you a quick way to send an initial message to you leads. The message content has been pre- written for you and can be customized. Additionally, you can now select an ‘Auto Follow Up’ option which will send a Follow up Message to any person who has not responded within 72 hours of your initial Intro/Apply message. The Intro message is designed for sales professionals and networkers, whereas the Apply message is designed for Job Seekers and includes a link to the Job Seekers’ LinkedIn profile.
